Web Design

Go the very cheap way and you will pay a lot more!

In today’s world, websites are essential for most businesses but having the right website for you isn’t as easy to build and get as most people think. There are many people out there saying that they make “low cost” websites for $500 or even less. The problem is that the quality of their sites usually are very low and I don’t mean the looks of it, but there are many other important things to look for than just the looks. When making a website for your business, you should consider other factors besides the looks. A pure flash website will look really good, all the animations are “eye candy” for the regular visitor, but when someone goes to the website with a smartphone like the iphone for example, the site might not work at all.

A low budget site designed from scratch might cost you little to start, but in today’s tech world, a simple static site is just not enough to compete with others and even though you might have paid just a couple of hundred bucks to get it up and running, to add, edit, do any kind of changes (like changing your prices) to the site will cost you more and more and as your business grow, you will either need to keep paying someone to do the changes you’d like, which can cost you hundreds or even thousands of dollars depending on the new content you want, or you will need to pay someone to create a new website with dynamic pages for you. A site with dynamic pages done right can give you flexibility in adding new content to your site whenever you want and without needing to pay someone else to do it. It can be as simple as typing in a word processor software (like Microsoft Word or OpenOffice Writer). I usually tell people that the sites I make (which are dynamic) are as easy to edit as writing something on facebook.

Now ask yourself when you plan to hire someone to create a site whether you prefer to have a really low cost static page which will end up costing you a lot more in the near future, or spending just a little more and having the flexibility to edit your own site? Lets say you decided to still go with cheap route and you kept growing your website little by little, paying just enough to get the additions and now your site is full of content. You get to the point where you need to make some major additions and since you already spent so much over the years (little by little) you want to use that same person that has been working on your site since the beginning, but you can’t find that person for whatever reason (sick, moved away, won’t answer your phone calls…). Without that developer that has been working with you for a long time, you will have to hire another website programmer. That programmer will have to read the code and lets hope that it was written in a clean way since programming languages can become tedious and hard to follow if written by someone without much experience. These programmers are usually paid by the hour or sometimes by the service (which they will base their service price by their time understanding the code and applying the changes anyway). This can get very expensive and at this point, you will already have spent a lot more than you would have if  you started up with a website with dynamic pages and a strong and stable backbone.

Zuz’s sites are super easy to edit, to work with, to update and upgrade, and are still “eye candy” to you and your clients. He will have a meeting with you and work with your budget to get the best possible deal for you, and your site will look better than you expect!
